Ozone SHIELD is envisioned as a support system for doctors, providing access to security assistance, legal support and professional advisory services when they need protection through a WhatsApp Chatbot.

Ozone Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is pleased to introduce “Ozone SHIELD”, a dedicated initiative designed to stand with Doctors and provide them support and protection when they need it most.

Doctors dedicate their lives to saving and caring for patients. However, in recent times, the medical fraternity has increasingly faced situations where doctors have been subjected to verbal abuse, intimidation, threats and even physical manhandling by patients’ attendants and others.

Recent incidents reported in the country, including the incident in Mumbai where a Doctor was allegedly slapped by a Sena corporator, highlight the growing need for a structured support system that stands firmly with Doctors during such difficult situations.

At the same time, Doctors continue to face significant medico-legal challenges, despite negligence not being established in a substantial proportion of such cases.

Keeping these concerns in view, Ozone SHIELD has been conceptualised with the objective of:

“Protecting Those Who Protect Lives.”

The initiative will provide enrolled doctors access to a structured support mechanism, including:

• Security Agency Support – assistance and coordination in situations involving threats, intimidation, aggression or physical manhandling.
• Legal Services – access to legal guidance and support in medico-legal matters and situations requiring legal intervention.
• Medico-Legal Guidance – regular updates, case studies and educational resources.
• SHIELD App – digital access to programme information, resources and support.
• Centralised Escalation & Monitoring – a Head Office Core Committee to act as a single escalation point and monitor service quality and adoption.

The programme will be supported through a coordinated operating model involving the Sales Team, Marketing, IT and Head Office and Agency support. Doctors will be introduced to the programme, enrolled digitally and provided with access credentials and programme benefits.

A commitment that when a doctor is threatened, intimidated, confronted with a medico-legal challenge or needs support in a difficult situation, they should know that they are not alone.
